Hey everyone! So I'm finally sharing pics from our rehearsal dinner. Since our wedding consisted of every white rose imaginable, we decided to make our rehearsal dinner vibrant and colorful. I absolutely love Missoni (esp Missoni pillows and swimwear) so we made that our underlying inspiration for our rehearsal dinner decor.
While planning the dinner, we played with Missoni patterned table linens with solid napkins, as well as solid table linens with Missoni patterned napkins. However, both of those combinations were either too girly or didn't portray the level of sophistication that we had envisioned.
After a few more attempts of setting and resetting the table at my wedding planner's office, we finally nailed it... champagne-colored sparkly linens, big luscious garden roses, an array of different sized candles, and baby gold pineapples to hold up the place cards of each guest at their table.
When the night finally arrived, the tables were glistening with romance and magic. It turned out to be more incredible than we could have ever imagined. In addition to our tables, we had custom napkins, signature drinks (coconut Margs and skinny Margs), amazing music played by a live band (LT Smooth), and insane food stations.
Our food was inspired by where Drew and I met for the first time, (Nick's Crispy Tacos) but of course, with a much more upscale twist. We had a taco station with homemade tortillas and lettuce wraps, a farmers market station, a grill station, and a truffle and lobster Mac and cheese station.
My favorite part of the night was the heartfelt and hilarious speeches that our friends gave us. We were beyond touched by them. The s'mores and coconut sorbet with chocolate sauce came in second place. ;)
Xoxo,
Carolyn
