Not going to lie, I am a total city person so moving from San Francisco to Fort Myers was not the easiest transition. I spent the first few weeks of spring training figuring out how to make Postmates miraculously appear, (which totally failed) and spent way too much time driving around the entire city of Fort Myers (and the surrounding cities) in search for a SoulCycle or at least a replica of Soul... doesn’t exist.
As Spring training winds down, I have finally mastered life in Fort Myers, FL. By “mastered”, I really mean that I’ve discovered how to be a little #badnbougie in Southwest Florida.
So here you go.. our #badnbougie guide to Spring Training in Fort Myers, FL.
Restaurants: Go to Naples. Our favorites are Campiello, The Continental, Ocean Prime, and Masa for great tacos and margaritas.
Grocery store: Go to Naples (no Whole Foods in Fort Myers)
Acai Bowls: Raw Juice in Coconut Point
Beaches: Go to Naples. Vanderbilt Beach. Order a coconut lemonade at the Ritz Carlton Beach bar (no, its not on the menu, but just wait and see.. they’ll put it on the menu asap once the bartender has a sip and realizes its heaven).
Nightlife: Go to Naples. Blue Martini in Mercato is cougar capital but the music is bumping and the elderly are grinding.
Shopping: Waterside Shops in Naples or Coconut Point in Bonita Springs
Activites: Spend the afternoon on a boat fishing at Miromar Lakes. Tan by the pool. Play tennis.
Lastly, don’t forget to order some inflatable swans from SunnyLife for your semi-indoor pool that everyone is Southwest FL has. Nothing wrong with being the young fun neighbors on the block.
