Jonathan Simkhai SS19 “Experience” was the place to be on Saturday afternoon in New York City.
The crowd, comprised of top models and the most well-known bloggers, mingled throughout the beautiful NYFW West Village venue, admiring Simkhai’s romantic-flowy collection.
Rather than a classic runway show, Jonathan presented his collection in a dreamlike way. The space was adorned with beautiful flowers and foliage, and bartenders served custom drinks and champagne to any guests who pleased to sip while soaking up at the atmosphere.
The experience began with models individually walking out to the crowd in a typical runway fashion, however, instead of the crowd sitting in a bleacher-like fashion, attendees hovered over the photographers cohesively to try and catch a glimpse of each dress. After each model had come out, they dispersed into the crowd until they reached designated areas around the room where attendees could see the clothes up close.
The event that Simkhai put on was beautiful, fun, and a uniquely intimate celebration of fashion and femininity!
